Belgian workers value job security far more than their monthly paychecks today. A Partena Professional survey shows salary ranks fifth among reasons to stay.

Fifty eight percent cited job security as their main reason for staying.

Work life balance, job content, and commuting ease followed closely behind security. Salary finished fifth with thirty five percent, while prestige ranked last overall.

Men cited pay more than women, while French speakers exceeded Dutch speakers. Economists link these findings to economic uncertainty and recent mass layoff announcements.
