Belgian firefighters completed joint rescue training alongside French colleagues in Marseille, France. The Brussels RISC team exchanged expertise with GRIMP thirteen colleagues last September.
Their multi-year partnership has strengthened technical knowledge and bonds between both teams.
Hands-on exercises were held on Cap Canaille's cliffs near La Ciotat shipyards. Participants practiced rope anchoring, helicopter winching, steep terrain rescue, and night operations.
Officials stressed each exchange better serves Brussels residents during difficult emergencies today. Teams aim to remain ready for intervention even in the toughest conditions.
