Partial curfews spread through many French cities as violent protests continue nationwide. Prime Minister Sebastien Lecornu ordered curfews after weekend riots and widespread looting.
Paris, Lyon, Lille, and Nice are among the cities facing overnight restrictions.
Lecornu rejected a state of emergency, blaming far-left groups for organizing disorder. In Denain, minors under eighteen face curfews until October twenty-fifth each night.
Yellow vest protests on October seventeenth caused two thousand four hundred arrests. Authorities pledged jobless benefits and funds for looted shops and damaged facilities.
