Belgian and Ukrainian foreign ministers met in Kyiv discussing bilateral cooperation today. Discussions included Ukraine’s readiness to assist Belgium with large-scale wildfire emergencies.

Both sides addressed increasing Russian attacks on civilians and Ukrainian air defense needs.

Security in the Black Sea region was reviewed during the comprehensive diplomatic meeting. European Union’s twenty-second sanctions package against Russia also featured in talks.

Belgium remains among top twenty supporters of Ukraine by both military and financial contributions. Belgium’s aid includes advanced weaponry, infrastructure projects, and assistance for injured Ukrainian veterans.
