In Germany, many now trust social media over newspapers for accurate information. Recent research shows nearly four out of every ten favor social media reliability.
The increase this year reached six points, now totaling about forty-three percent overall.
Researchers conducted online surveys with over three thousand six hundred internet users aged sixteen. In the younger age group, above fifty percent trust online sources more frequently now.
Two-thirds of respondents value advice from friends, acquaintances and relatives on social media. However, most users regularly encounter misinformation and distorted facts across various social platforms.
