Poland Restricts Mobile Phones and Devices in Primary Schools with New Law

Poland limits mobile phones and electronic devices in primary educational institutions nationwide. Government approves legislation restricting recording-capable electronics in all public and private schools.

First through eighth grade students cannot use these devices inside or during activities.

Exceptions are made for emergencies, health reasons, or explicit teacher permission during lessons. High schools will set their own rules concerning student electronic device use independently.

Phones kept in dedicated storage during classes; contents must not be examined whatsoever. Law takes effect September first; adaptation period for schools ends October thirty-first.
