Horst Police and Cross-Border Team worked together to conduct the inspection.
More than twenty-four thousand euros were found hidden inside the car. Vehicle’s occupants could not initially explain origin of significant cash amount found.
Both were detained under suspicion of money laundering, pending further investigation. Ongoing investigation aims to uncover and clarify the true source of money.
