Europe Prepares for Record Year in Wind Energy Installations

Europe is set for a historic rise in wind energy installations this year. WindEurope reports eight point eight gigawatts capacity added in first half.

This increase is thirty percent more than the same period last year.

Installed turbines could power nearly seven million homes and reduce fossil fuel imports. Germany leads with three point four gigawatts, forty percent of total capacity.

Belgium contributed sixty megawatts, while Germany launched over five hundred new turbines. Approval delays remain challenging as installations accelerate across Europe, says WindEurope leadership.
