Thousands of illegal children’s toys seized by Bulgarian customs officers today. Officers investigated a shipping container arriving from China at Burgas Customs.
Risk analysis led customs to select and thoroughly inspect the suspicious container.
Though paperwork reported only twenty prize machines, toys were cleverly hidden inside. Officials found plush toys, novelty keychains, animation character accessories unlawfully concealed.
Authorities confiscated all undeclared products and launched formal administrative proceedings immediately afterwards. Since early this year, thirty-seven thousand two hundred products have been seized.
