Turkey reports fewer foreign visitors, Russia and Germany are leading sources. Culture and Tourism Ministry states foreign arrivals dropped slightly this eight-month period.
Total foreign visitors surpassed thirty-four million between January and August this year.
August statistics show a minor decrease compared to last year's same month data. Russia sent the most tourists, closely followed by Germany and the United Kingdom.
Istanbul was top for entries, but Antalya led during August’s busiest travel month. Most travelers entered by air, and domestic visits also rose considerably during year.
