Europe’s natural gas networks are prepared for winter, experts report confidently today. Gas infrastructure across the continent remains resilient, according to industry group ENTSOG.
Current gas storage levels, however, stand historically low at just seventy-two percent filled.
ENTSO warns gas storage requires constant monitoring, similar to liquefied natural gas supplies. Each additional amount of stored or LNG gas strengthens Europe’s position for winter.
Should LNG supply remain constrained, reserves could drop below thirty percent after winter. Unexpected cold spells towards season’s end may impose more serious risks, ENTSOG cautions.
